Young Brother

Kamikaze EP
Artwork

Dalton Diehl, known prior for his work in the contemporary Christian trio SameState, heads up the elctro-alternative infused project Young Brother. Diehl’s first big release with Young Brother is the “Kamikaze EP”. The title track off of the EP has floated around now for a few months and it really shows off the potential that Diehl has with Young Brother. It’s fiery and unpredictable, and a blast to listen to – whether you’re hearing it for the first time or the tenth. The Kill Them With Colour Remix of the track that’s on the EP isn’t nearly as good as the original, but it’s a decent listen. After “Kamikaze”, Young Brother has another single on the EP in “Man Up”, the song isn’t as unpredictable or as fun as “Kamikaze”, but it’s still really good and you’ll be listening to it a ton too. The other song on the EP is “Work It” and it’s not really anything that notable. It’s not terrible, but it’s not that good either. Despite a couple of misses on this EP, Diehl is on to something with Young Brother. When he’s on and when the songs are good, they’re really good.
