Sheppard

Geronimo EP
Artwork

Australia’s Sheppard is a sextet that immediately reminds me of a mixture between The Mowglis and Royal Teeth. They incorporate a ton of unique percussion, dual vocalists and harmonies, and some happy positive vibes into their sounds that makes the music that they create fun and entertaining. That’s displayed on their four song/single EP release that they just put out, Geronimo.

Geronimo is led by its title track. The song is one of the catchier songs of 2014 and is a defining track from Sheppard, but the other three songs on this EP/single release are all really good. Out of the four songs available on this EP, all four are terrific listens.

Sheppard should be one of the better acts to make their U.S. debut in 2014. The music is unique, fun, and addictive and more than one of these songs will find their way into playlists throughout the year.
