Lo-Pro

Artwork

Licensed to Geffen as the debut release, not only for Lo Pro, but also for 413 records-the label formed by Staind’s Aaron Lewis- this album represents the negative end of an already saturated modern rock market. Formed by ex-Amen bassist John Fahnestock, ex-Ultraspank members and with a line-up completed by drummer Tommy Stewart of Godsmack, Lo Pro offers a sanitized stereotypic approach to modern rock. Relying on power riffs played in the same key, clumsy arrangements and a host of plagiaristic tendencies, Lo Pro stumble their way through a set of mediocre songs that sound like hybridized outtakes from a Filter, Linkin Park or a Staind album. This album is proof positive that just as poor quality music exists in other genres of music, it rears its ugly head in the world of alternative rock.
