Aptly titled A. Sinclair based on frontman Aaron Sinclair’s name, this Austin, TX -based band finds its home in Boston roots with Sinclair prior projects being Boston outfits. These days, Sinclair is based out of Texas with his band and “Get Out of the City” is their sophomore release (and their second for Dangerbird Records too.)
“Get Out of the City” is filled with raucous garage work that will soothe the soul of anyone who misses the early 90s when the only way you could get great indie music is from your local, non-chain record store. Sinclair writes songs with adult themes including regret and not acknowledging your shortcomings. The lyrics are one thing, but the music is insanely good. It’s uneasy and overwrought from start to finish and it will keep you on your toes. A. Sinclair knows what they’re doing on this album, let’s hope this is Dangerbird’s biggest thing since Silversun Pickups.
