Landon Pigg

The Boy Who Never
Artwork

Landon Pigg’s “LP” was a good debut- he followed that up with the stellar “Coffee Shop” EP and now he’s on his second full-length album with the “The Boy Who Never.” Pigg’s music isn’t as polished and shiny this go around, instead it’s got a greater emphasis on personal song writing. And the music has a more folk feel to it. This is both good and bad. It’s good because you’re connecting with Landon more than you were with his debut album, it’s bad because the music starts to really drone along towards the middle of the end of the album. Still, this is a good record from Pigg. If you like “Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop” (which is also on this record) you’re going to like at least four other songs on this record. If you don’t like that song, you might find one song on this album you’ll like. “The Boy Who Never” gets points for Pigg; he’s making the music he wants to make, and really its good stuff.
