California rockers Audrye Sessions make their major label debut with this brand new album. While a first listen it’s hard to separate the band’s sound from the over saturated market of alternative rock bands today, take a deeper dive into the album and you’ll find a 90’s rock influenced sound that has been missing from today’s music scene. Track’s like “Perfect, Sometimes” and “The Paper Face” are reminiscent of bands like Paloalto who emerged in the late 90’s just down the California cost from Audrye Sessions. The band’s softer side on tracks like “Relentless” or “New Years Day” will draw comparisons to The Fray and Augustana with their melody driven hooks and soaring chorus. All in all, Audrye Sessions show great potential on their debut album, but may not sound outstanding enough to make it in today’s shrinking alternative rock market.
