Prospekts March EP
Artwork

“Viva La Vida” is a great Coldplay record and one of the records that’s going to be most remembered when people look back on 2008, but “The Prospekts March EP” is what equates into basically the same material with casual nuances and Jay-Z rapping on “Lost!”, which is hilarious because coincidentally the two acts will be doing a few shows together. Anyway, out of the eight tracks on the EP three of them are reworked tracks from “Viva La Vida.” The five remaining songs are somewhat b-sides because they were ‘too catchy’ to appear on the album. When listening through the songs that might be true, but “Viva La Vida” (the song not the actual album this time) is one of the band’s catchier numbers and these songs would have fit in around the album to create a bigger number of tracks. But then the label wouldn’t be able to release this EP and the Prospekt’s March version of “Viva La Vida” that’s available. Basically with this EP- it’s Coldplay so it’s good, but it’s not a formal album so I’d recommend going through the tracks online and buying the ones you like. This set is something that’s cool just not a necessity.
