Smallpools

Smallpools EP
Artwork

Capital Cities took alternative electronic music and perfected it on their debut album. I’ll give them that. But Smallpools has the potential to expand on that, their new EP showcases the L.A. group’s huge potential with a four song collection that’s worth an instant purchase. The melodies and hooks are all contagious and all of the electronic work on the album is addictive. It’s some of the best you’re likely to hear.

The EP is led by the two singles; “Dreaming” and “Mason Jar’ both of those songs are perfect anthems for what Smallpools can do. The other two songs are huge bonuses. The intro and the instrumentation on “Over & Over” makes that one of the best songs that I’ve heard this year.

Check out the new Smallpools EP and look out for big things from this group in 2014. This EP could be the start of something big.
