The first Indie Song of the Day for this week comes from Martinez, CA. The band was started by Lorin Holmen and his brother-in-law Nick Knoblock. The band describes their sound as a mixture of punk rock ‘n’ twang.
Not only are Lorin and Nick brothers-in-law, the band’s bass player Tony Giuliano is also a brother-in-law. We’ll be honest, it’s weird. Anyway, the three of them started working on songs with Neil Parish online via Facebook – then Neil joined the band as a drummer.
So, here we are Dorthy Lane is a thing and they have a new EP out now called “Cut & Dry”, the EP is a little different than what we’re used to but it’s got a great organic sound to it. Check out “Jonesboro Blues” – it’s the Indie Song of the Day.
