Boston art-rock band Bent Knee is teaming up with Alternative Addiction to debut their video for “The Well.”
About the song, Bent Knee guitarist had this to say:
“We’re worried about climate change but aren’t doing much about it. The Well is about the thoughts and ideas that prevent us from taking the necessary action to take care of our planet. Many people feel helpless and overwhelmed by the scale of the problem, while others don’t like the solutions to the problem, so they convince themselves the threat isn’t that urgent. Personally, I feel a mix of both and it weighs hard on my conscience. We tour all the time and I’ve grown so used to just filling up the tank over and over again over thousands of miles, throwing recyclables in the trash, and passing mutilated animal corpses on the highway without a second thought. Fortunately, I’ve recognized my own hypocrisy, so hopefully I’ll do something about it. Go humans!”
The band just released their major label debut album “Land Animal” to rave reviews and they’re currently on a North American tour.
Bent Knee formed in Boston in 2009 as a band collective. They wanted to push the boundaries of pop and rock and after listening to the band’s album and checking out their new video, we can say that they’ve met their goal. This band is the good kind of crazy. The remaining tour dates on their current run are underneath the video.
