The Indie Song of the Day comes from English singer-songwriter James Walker. He’s set to release his debut album on November 17th.
The album, titled English Bones was produced by Sam Winfield and features ten songs including the song of the day, “2009.” The album is a collection of songs that walker wrote over the past eighteen months.
Walker has toured Europe as a pianist, co-writer and collaborator for Adam Barns, now he’s out to push his own music.
About “2009”, Walker said:
“2009 is a song I wrote with some old friends in Brighton, I was living and studying there a few years ago & we drank too much and rehearsed too little. This song will always remind me of the times I had living down in Brighton, and how much I miss that place & that feeling of belonging. This is 2009, a song about being in emo bands back in the day, and features a guitar solo played by yours truly.”
